On February 22, the 2022 No. 1 Central Document — the CPC Central Committee and State Council's opinions on key work for comprehensively advancing rural revitalization in 2022 — was released. It calls for firmly holding two bottom lines, national food security and no large-scale return to poverty; for focusing on annual tasks, targeted measures and practical results; for giving full play to the leading role of rural Party organizations; and for steadily advancing rural development, construction and governance, so that rural revitalization makes new progress and agricultural and rural modernization takes new steps.
On rural cultural and ethical progress, rural development and governance, the document sets new requirements for county media centers and others:
Use digital technology to strengthen rural public services and extend "internet plus government services" into the countryside. Focus on solving real problems and widen the uses of agricultural and rural big data. Speed up standards for digital villages, develop an evaluation index system and continue digital village pilots.
Create effective platforms for rural cultural and ethical progress. Use centers for practicing the new era's civilization, county media centers and other platforms for targeted publicity and education, promoting and practicing the core socialist values.
